FreeAxez is made of double 16 gauge hot dipped galvanized steel. Due to its solid construction, durability, and excellent anti-corrosive properties, FreeAxez can be re-used many times due to re-location or floor plan changes. While FreeAxez is relatively lightweight - adding a mere 4.75 PSF to live load of the building - the 34 support legs of the base unit and dual-ply construction of the reinforcing ribs ensure high-strength. The "feel" is solid, but not bouncy like the pedestal / panel raised floors.

The double 16-gauge FreeAxez steel platform enables interior metal framing, wall systems and racks to be anchored in and installed on top of the FreeAxez floor. This is not an option with concrete and wood raised floors. FreeAxez is the only system that provides this flexible solution.

A configuration of 34 support legs per base unit, coupled with a structure that takes advantage of the inherent flexibility of steel, allows FreeAxez to adapt to some unevenness in sub-floor surface. Consequently, the floor feels stable with virtually no bumpiness or creaking.

Flat reinforcing ribs are on the underside of each unit.

Competitor's products with the ribs on units leave an imprint on the carpet over time.

The reinforcing ribs are on the back of each unit so that they do not show on the surface of the floor.

Special construction prevents metallic noise and resonance.

A cushion sheet under the top plate of the base unit prevents metallic noise. The many small holes on top of the units are designed to absorb resonance. This has been a problem with conventional raised access floors. The acoustic performance of the FreeAxez design is unparalleled in the marketplace. The 34 support legs contain and "baffle" sound transmission; the floor is not only virtually silent to walk upon, it also prevents conversation and noise from traveling, assuring privacy in the work environment.
