1.1 Why do I need a Low Profile, All-Steel, Modular, Quick-Connect Flooring System?
- The modern office needs to organize a tremendous amount of cables and wires in order to accommodate computer networks, telephones faxes and general electric appliances. For this reason, new office buildings are designed to accommodate a raised floor with an average height of more than 3 inches. FreeAxez offers two low profile solutions: FreeAxez 40 at only 1.6” (40 mm) height, and FreeAxez 70 at only 2.75” (70 mm) height. These solutions can dramatically reduce the building expenses or result in the adding of more stories to the building.
- Older generation raised floors were designed to run air because computers generated a tremendous amount of heat. Due to the rapid development of modern office technology, running air through the floor is not a necessity anymore and a low profile cable management solution is the most effective and attractive.
- In order to keep things clean, organized and accessible while at same time preserving ceiling height, FreeAxez offers the perfect solution. FreeAxez installs up to three times faster than competitive products. Because of it's unique design it can meet the physical demands of any office environment.
- Because of FreeAxez's all steel construction the load bearing specifications are exceptional. Also, FreeAxez can be picked up, moved and rearranged hundreds of times without deteriorating. Because it is all steel you will always get a green light from the fire chief who, in Manhattan for instance, would not allow a wood, particle-board or plastic floor.
- FreeAxez is made of zinc-coated steel and is 100% recyclable.
- Because FreeAxez is installed without any screws and core drilling it depreciates as furniture and thus saves money in the long term.
- FreeAxez can also be leased.

1.2 Why is FreeAxez the better solution for the office environment? |
|
- FreeAxez is easily and quickly installed at a rate of 1000 square feet per man per day. That is up to 3 times faster than other raised flooring products.
- FreeAxez has a huge capacity. FreeAxez 40 can accommodate 50 CAT 5 cables every 19.5 inches at 40% capacity. That is more than sufficient for any office and computer room.
- FreeAxez offers flexibility. Because of the unique design, adds, moves and changes are a snap. All modules interlock mechanically and are held down by gravity. The cable channels are opened without any tools and cables are easily installed and rearranged after the flooring is laid. Because of its modular design and the lack of screws and fasteners FreeAxez can easily be moved and every part of it can be lifted, moved and rearranged without tools.
- FreeAxez does not feel like a raised floor. Light-weight and high-strength construction guarantees stability without creaking and bumpiness and eliminates any sensation of walking on an access floor. The moderately flexible steel construction slightly cushions the impact and makes for a comfortable yet solid floor that does not tire your feet.
- FreeAxez does not sound like a raised floor. A cushion sheet under the top plate of the base units prevents metallic noise. Small holes in the unit surface avoid resonation.
- FreeAxez requires no maintenance. If you want to redecorate you simply change the carpet tiles. FreeAxez accommodates any brand carpet tile.
- FreeAxez preserves ceiling height and avoids the spaghetti-salad-cable arrangement you find with other floors or in the ceiling.
- FreeAxez is made of zinc-coated steel and is 100% recyclable.

1.3 Can FreeAxez adjust to varying floor heights and uneven sub-floors?
- FreeAxez does not use pedestals and has a fixed height. It can therefore only absorb unevenness to a certain degree. However, each base unit of the flooring system is supported by 34 legs that can be bent to compensate for unevenness in the sub-floor.
- FreeAxez can be installed on any floor that is suitable for carpeting or PVC flooring. FreeAxez slopes and ramps are available to cope with different floor heights and handicapped access requirements.

1.4 Can FreeAxez adjust to circular installations?
- FreeAxez can be arranged in circular installations without any cutting. Various types of borders and frames come with the system to ensure a smooth finish from wall to wall.

|
1.5 How does FreeAxez achieve a tight fit along the walls? |
- FreeAxez borders and frames are designed to slide flush to the walls and are then fastened to the top of the base units.

|
1.6 Can I exceed the load that is specified for FreeAxez? |
- FreeAxez reinforcing bands for any module of the system guarantee stability even under extreme conditions. We have driven a Chevrolet Suburban and a small forklift on FreeAxez and the system has not failed even without the reinforcing bands.

|
1.7 Is FreeAxez reusable?
- All FreeAxez components are reusable.
- Relocation is merely a logistical issue. FreeAxez can easily be picked up and moved because it is not fastened to the sub-floor but held down by gravity. The only screws necessary for the system are to hold down ramps and slopes.

1.8 Does FreeAxez have special outlets for cables? |
|
- FreeAxez provides base units, channel plates and corner plates with wiring outlets. No cutting and drilling are necessary and the system stays clean and organized.
- FreeAxez offers wire connectors and electrical outlet boxes built into the system. FreeAxez also accommodates other brand outlet service boxes.

|
|
|
1.9 Does FreeAxez require special carpet tiles? |
|
- FreeAxez will work with any brand carpet or PVC tiles. The tiles can be self-adhesive or you can apply pressure-sensitive glue to the floor-surface, which will hold the tiles in place while still allowing easy access to the wiring channels. We also offer attractive solid wood flooring modules custom designed for FreeAxez.
- FreeAxez should only be used with tiles because any other flooring would defeat the purpose of the system.
