What Makes FreeAxez Different from Other Raised Access Floor Systems?

FreeAxez is unlike the traditional post and panel raised access floor. Its revolutionary design provides the simple solution for wire management when under-floor air distribution is not required.

The traditional raised access floor, made up of 2’ x 2’ panels each supported by 4 pedestals, came into existence when mainframe computers were large and bulky and ran off of transistors that became hot very quickly. As a result, floors had to be tall and have air circulation in a plenum air space to cool the equipment. This design has remained virtually unchanged for 50 years

FreeAxez’s revolutionary design provides the simple solution for wire management when under-floor air distribution is not required. FreeAxez is the 21st Century solution to wiring in the modern building; it is the cost-effective and flexible alternative to core-drilling, trenching, ceiling wiring, power poles and electrified furniture systems.

The Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) recognized the uniqueness of FreeAxez by issuing MasterFormat Number 09 69 33 ‘Low-Profile Fixed Height Access Flooring’. This clearly demonstrates our difference from the traditional post and panel raised access floors.

Ultra Low Profile

Available in 2 heights:

FreeAxez 40 is 1.6” tall – the lowest access floor on the market! It provides 1.35” of usable space.

FreeAxez 70 is 2.75” tall, providing 2.5” of usable space.

Low profile flooring allows for more vertical space in rooms, and requires minimal ramping at entranceways for ADA compliance.

Flexible for Moves, Adds and Changes

Modifications to the floor plan are a snap! No tools are required. To change wiring, simply lift the modular floor covering and open cable channels by hand in seconds. This allows you to reconfigure space or add new equipment and wiring in a fraction of the time. FreeAxez will pay for itself as your space requirements change and grow. When it comes time to move an office, the entire system can move too; simply pick it up and take it with you!

Quick Connect Installation

The FreeAxez modular system installs quickly without the use of glues, screws or fasteners. FreeAxez is held in place by gravity and does not attach to the subfloor or walls. Open areas are installed at a rate of 1,000 square feet per installer per day. Installations are rapid and quiet, minimizing disruptions and saving valuable time in the construction schedule. This translates to additional cost savings.

All Steel Construction

FreeAxez has no plastic supports or particle board panels. With the all steel construction and 34 support legs under each base unit, you will not know that you are walking on a raised floor!

Unmatched Versatility

FreeAxez offers flexible fit-out and can be used anywhere. Adjustable border components fill perimeter gaps without the need to cut standard units. FreeAxez installs along curved and angular walls, and provides simple transitions at entranceways. Support legs on the base unit are adjustable and can adapt to common unevenness in subfloor surfaces.

High Capacity Wire Management

Don’t be fooled by our ultra-low profile. As a result of its innovative design, FreeAxez has a greater capacity than its industry lowest profile would suggest.

FreeAxez forms a grid of wire channels only 15” apart, providing an easy system for organized wire management without the clutter often experienced in traditional post and panel raised access floors.

Excellent Acoustics

FreeAxez is ideal for acoustically sensitive applications, such as class “A” offices, broadcast studios, libraries, courtrooms and secure intelligence facilities. Sound baffling is accomplished through several design features eliminating footfall and sound resonance.
